Human Factors Engineering Track
School of Design and Human Engineering, UNIST

Assistant to Full Professor Position (tenure-track or tenured)

The Human Factors Engineering Track in the School of Design and Human Engineering at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) invites applicants for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions starting from August 2016 onwards in the area of Cognitive Human Factors.

All candidates should have a Ph.D. in the field of Cognitive Human Factors related to Product Design or Product Design Engineering. As a Design School we look for candidates who have experience in applying cognitive human factors in human-product interaction. Candidates are expected to have a track record of publications in this field, in relevant top-tier venues. Candidates who go for a higher-level appointment will be expected to have a history of funding acquisition, graduate student supervision and academic service commensurate with their experience. Responsibilities will include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in English (three courses/year), conducting internationally competitive research, procuring external research grants, supervising students, and engaging in academic service. A generous one-year relocation and start-up research package will be provided to successful candidates.
UNIST is a young research-oriented national university located in Ulsan, South Korea with an international perspective and world-class facilities (http://www.unist.ac.kr). The Human Factors Engineering track (http://hfe.unist.ac.kr/) is a rapidly growing group of 8 faculty members and approximately 40 graduate students.

It is highly recommended to contact Dr. Gyouhyung Kyung (ghkyung@unist.ac.kr), the search committee chair, prior to submitting applications online at http://invite.unist.ac.kr/ UNIST strongly encourages applications from women, minorities, and non-Koreans.
